AI usage limits: how many recognitions per day?
The number of daily AI recognitions (photo, voice, label) depends on your plan and resets every day.
How limits work
AI food recognition has a daily limit that depends on your plan. One shared limit covers:
- food recognition from a photo;
- food logging by voice;
- AI label text reading when creating a product manually.
On the Premium plan AI recognitions are unlimited.
When the limit resets
The limit is counted per calendar day and resets every night when a new day starts. The next day you can use AI recognition again from zero.
What happens when you reach the limit
When you hit the limit, the app shows a message and offers the Premium plan. The limit applies to your account on the server — reinstalling the app or switching devices will not bypass it.
What does NOT count
These methods always work, with no limits:
- manual food entry and search;
- barcode scanning (product lookup in the database);
- adding from "My meals", recipes or previous entries.
