Integrations
Connecting Apple Health
Read steps, energy, heart metrics and sleep; write nutrition back to Health.
How to connect
- Open Profile → Integrations.
- Next to Apple Health, tap "Tap to connect".
- iOS shows a permissions sheet — choose which data to allow for reading and writing.
Once connected you will see the status "Connected · on device" — Apple Health data is processed on your phone.
What it syncs
- Reads: steps, active energy, heart rate, HRV, sleep, blood oxygen and other metrics — shown in the Stats tab.
- Imports date of birth, height, weight and sex on first connection.
- Writes your nutrition data to Health (if you granted permission).
Common issues
- No data showing ("No Health data") — check permissions: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Avitra — enable the needed categories.
- Revoked permissions? The integration stays connected, but without permissions no data is read — re-enable them in the same place.
- Steps differ from your watch — Apple Health merges phone and watch data; Avitra shows the same as the Health app.
- Data is delayed — sync runs automatically every time you open the app; reopen Avitra.
