Body & measurements
Body composition analysis: body fat %, measurements and 3D model
Photos or tape measurements are used to estimate body fat, and a 3D body model is built from your measurements.
What it is
Body composition analysis uses photos or tape measurements to estimate your body fat percentage (BF%), fat mass and lean mass. Your measurements also build a 3D body model — a neutral, anonymous body that changes along with you.
Three methods
- Photo scan — two photos: front and side. An on-screen guide helps you stand correctly ("Step back", "Raise your arms to shoulder height", "Hold still").
- 3D scan (no photos) — the camera reads your pose, no photos are stored.
- Manual measurements — circumferences taken with a measuring tape; this is the most accurate method.
Privacy
- Faces in photos are blurred automatically on your device, before saving. Your original face is never sent anywhere.
- Photos are visible only to you; you can delete any scan.
Common issues
- "I can't see your whole body — step back to fit in the frame" — place the phone further away or lower; your whole body must be visible.
- Pose recognition unavailable — on older devices take the photos with the button or enter measurements manually.
- Result looks off — the camera estimate is indicative, meant for tracking trends. Review and adjust the values before saving, or use a measuring tape.
Tip
Scan under similar conditions (morning, same clothing) every 2–4 weeks — the trend matters, not a single reading.
